Mind Lab
Mind-Lab is an organization specialized in learning systems to develop skills that the modern life asks for.
The methodology of the project consists of using thinking games with a mediated learning approach.
According with the organization´s website, the development occurs in the following manner:
- Using games to create an environment for the development of the child and the adolescent.
- The child is assisted by a mediator that introduces thinking strategies in accordance with the learning experience of each student.
- The mediator and the child talk about the new knowledge from their experience and how it relates to real life situations both personal and academic.
The implementation of the project at Sant´Anna happened in 2009 and since then, the school has participated in the annual Mind Lab Olympics. The winner qualifies for the world competition.
Different than previous editions, the 2011 Olympics will happen in two different stages: the regional competition and the national phase.
