INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM

Early Childhood Education
Where childhood meets the world

In Early Childhood Education, children grow up in a truly international environment where they feel welcomed, safe, valued, and a true sense of belonging as they build the foundations to become global citizens.

Our 100% bilingual program provides children with a natural immersion in the English language from the earliest years, allowing them to develop fluency in a spontaneous, joyful, and meaningful way. More than just learning a second language, they expand their worldview, communication skills, and independence from an early age.

Research shows that children exposed to a second language in early childhood develop greater cognitive flexibility, quicker reasoning, stronger problem-solving abilities, and enhanced cultural empathy throughout life.

A space that nurtures curiosity

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, children learn through discovery, investigation, and experimentation and are recognized as protagonists of their own learning.

In the early years, children explore the world through play, social interaction, and multiple forms of expression including verbal, physical, artistic, and digital languages. Over time, they become more independent, expressive, and confident, ready to move forward in their educational journey, already fluent in English as a natural second language.

Preparing global citizens from the very first steps

More than language proficiency, our students develop an international mindset one that is open to new ideas, respectful of differences, and prepared to navigate a globalized world.

Throughout their Early Childhood Education journey, students experience:

  • Art, music, and movement
  • Motor, emotional, and social development
  • Activities that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Building empathetic, respectful, and collaborative relationships
  • Fostering independence and a strong sense of belonging
  • Using technology as a tool for exploration and expression

Elementary School
A bilingual, global childhood full of discovery

In Elementary School (Grades 1 - 5), students engage in a learning experience that goes far beyond academic content. From an early age, they develop not only cognitive skills but also social-emotional competencies, technological fluency, and a truly global perspective.

Immersed in a bilingual and multicultural environment, students expand their ability to communicate, think critically, and connect with the world around them.

A complete international approach connected to the world

Our curriculum combines international academic standards with Brazilian educational guidelines, ensuring a solid foundation aligned with 21st-century skills.

Classes are conducted in English (60%) and Portuguese (40%), and are structured to promote:

  • Ongoing inquiry and critical thinking
  • Collaborative work and student autonomy
  • Problem-solving, creativity, and effective communication
  • Active, hands-on, and meaningful knowledge construction
Technology that empowers and transforms

Technology is integrated into the learning process starting in 1st grade, helping students develop digital literacy, computational thinking, creativity, and responsible technology use from the beginning.

Our teaching practices also incorporate the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), encouraging active learning and real-world problem-solving through transdisciplinary projects.

Starting in 4th grade, students join the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program, bringing their own laptops to school and further enhancing their autonomy, personalization, and engagement with digital projects, research, and content creation.

One highlight is the Video Production Project, in which students learn how to write scripts, use basic filming and editing techniques, and create their own content developing their communication, creative expression, and digital responsibility skills.

Socioemotional

At this stage, children are discovering who they are, learning to interact with others, and dealing with different feelings. Our Socioemotional Program is embedded in our curriculum and offers activities and experiences that encourage:

  • Recognizing and expressing emotions in a healthy way
  • Building self-confidence and mutual respect
  • Practicing empathy and cooperation
  • Resolving conflicts peacefully
  • Strengthening communication skills

This way, we help our students become more confident, resilient, and ready to keep learning and growing — both inside and outside the classroom.

Language Support

For students who need additional support with English, we offer the ELL (English Language Learners) program. For international students who are not fluent in Portuguese, we provide PLL (Portuguese Language Learning) to ensure full academic and cultural integration.

Student development

We closely monitor each student’s academic journey using internationally recognized tools, allowing us to track progress, personalize instruction, address individual needs, and ensure a consistent, challenging academic experience.

Middle School
A journey of growth and independence

Middle School (Grades 6 - 8) is much more than an academic stage; it is a time when students gain independence, shape their identities, and prepare for the demands of High School and beyond.

At this stage, our students go through a period of personal, social, and academic transformation, supported by a learning environment that balances security, challenge, belonging, and high expectations.

Our program offers a rigorous international curriculum that integrates Brazilian and international academic standards, preparing students for a bilingual, borderless future.

Classes are taught in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and include a wide variety of academic, cultural, and social-emotional learning experiences.

Socioemotional

Adolescence is a stage marked by profound changes and discoveries. Our Socioemotional Program is embedded in our curriculum and has been carefully designed to support students throughout this journey, helping them to:

  • Manage complex emotions
  • Strengthen self-awareness
  • Build resilience
  • Foster assertive communication
  • And expand other essential life skills

This way, we prepare our students to face challenges, build healthy relationships, and reach their full potential.

In addition to core academic areas, students benefit from a diverse selection of elective subjects that help them expand their interests, explore passions, and develop new skills.

Technology and innovation that empower learning

With full integration of digital tools into daily learning, students use technology to research, create, communicate, and solve problems—essential skills for today’s world.

The intentional use of artificial intelligence further expands learning opportunities, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and preparing students for future challenges.

Language Support

For students who need additional support with English, we offer the ELL (English Language Learners) program. For international students who are not fluent in Portuguese, we provide PLL (Portuguese Language Learning) to ensure full academic and cultural integration.

Advisory and Tutoring Program

Each student is supported by a teacher-tutor, who guides, encourages, and supports their academic, emotional, and social development. Through individual and group meetings, we promote reflection, self-esteem, responsible decision-making, and the development of essential life skills.

House Program – Learn with empathy, lead with purpose

The House Program connects students across grade levels, from Early Childhood to High School, through collaborative projects, challenges, and activities that foster leadership, empathy, resilience, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

Students learn, in practice, the value of community, diversity, and mutual support.

International students that don’t take part in Portuguese classes are enrolled in-depth through the K12 International Academy.

In addition, they also attend Portuguese Language Learning (PLL) classes. Just like our school, K12 International Academy is also accredited by Cognia.

Teacher-Tutor Program & Advisory Program

Middle School students participate in counseling meetings, guided through the teacher-tutor. Preparing students to make decisions at this important time of life, the teacher-tutor is the one who knows his students well and can talk to them in groups or individually to manage social and academic development.

The teacher-tutor is a defender for the student, providing constant support for each student by creating this support relationship between teacher and student and by listening and answering to students’ problems. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and the ability to solve problems creatively.

High School
Academic excellence with a global focus

High School (Grades 9 - 12) is much more than a phase of academic development; it's a vibrant environment where students strengthen their skills, grow as leaders, collaborate, and consolidate their worldview.

Students experience a truly international education that blends academic rigor, personal growth, critical thinking, and a strong culture of collaboration, ethics, and social responsibility.

Artificial intelligence tools are fully integrated into the learning process, supporting data analysis, content creation, and complex problem-solving skills essential for success in today’s academic and professional environments.

Advanced academic opportunities

Students have access to advanced courses through the K12 International Academy, including Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) options. These internationally recognized courses broaden students’ academic experiences and prepare them for global opportunities.

Language Support

For international students who are not fluent in Portuguese, we offer continuous support through the Portuguese Language Learning (PLL) program, ensuring full academic and cultural integration.

Pathways and Electives

A wide range of elective courses and formative pathways allows students to personalize their learning journey, explore areas of interest, and develop new talents.

Belonging and social impact

A strong sense of social responsibility and community engagement is central to the High School experience. Through community service projects, students participate in meaningful actions that make a real impact at school, in the neighborhood, in the city, and often even beyond.

The House Program continues through High School, promoting leadership, empathy, resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging, all essential pillars in preparing conscious and capable global citizens.

Expanded learning experience

Our High School program includes a wide variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities, enriching the student experience and supporting personal and academic growth:
